Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced data professional to lead our analytics team. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a strong understanding of healthcare analytics, particularly in the payer, provider, or healthcare services space. The ideal candidate will drive insights, support critical business decisions, and help elevate our analytics capabilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze complex healthcare datasets (e.g., claims data) to deliver actionable insights that support operations and performance improvement.
- Develop and implement analytics best practices to optimize quality, value-based contracts, and network performance.
- Lead and mentor data team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Manage tight deadlines and competing priorities while ensuring data accuracy and quality.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to understand business challenges and identify opportunities for data-driven solutions.
- Utilize tools such as BigQuery, DBT, and Omni BI to design and deliver robust analytics solutions.
- Proactively identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities to drive business success.
- Maintain a strong understanding of payer/provider analytics, including claims data, procedure-level details, and industry-standard methodologies.
Qualifications:
Must-Have Skills and Experience:
- 5–10 years of experience in healthcare analytics, preferably in health systems, payers, or Healthtech companies.
- Hands-on experience working with claims data and understanding its complexity.
- Strong knowledge of performance management metrics such as quality and coding.
- Proficiency in Big Query, DBT, and Omni BI (or similar analytics tools).
- Proven track record of managing teams and tight deadlines.
- Ability to quickly grasp business operations and provide impactful solutions within the first 90 days.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present complex insights to non-technical audiences.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Exposure to IBNR calculations (though not mandatory).
- High-growth experience in Healthtech or data science environments.
- A curious mindset with a drive to understand what makes the business work—or not work.
