Summary

We are seeking a Senior Manager of Business Intelligence (BI) to play a pivotal role in driving data strategy, analytics, and operational insights across NCD. This role will focus on leading BI initiatives, optimizing data workflows, and supporting decision-making with data-driven insights. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, experience managing BI tools, and a deep understanding of healthcare data, particularly in the payer, provider, or healthcare services space.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the BI function, ensuring accurate, actionable insights that support business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to support business units.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business challenges and provide data-driven solutions.
  • Manage and optimize data infrastructure, leveraging tools such as BigQuery, DBT, and Omni BI.
  • Analyze complex healthcare datasets (e.g., claims data) to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for growth.
  • Ensure data integrity, governance, and best practices for data management.
  • Mentor and support junior analysts, fostering a collaborative and data-driven culture.
  • Balance competing priorities and deadlines while maintaining high-quality work.

Qualifications

Must-Have Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or healthcare analytics.
  • Experience working with claims data and payer/provider analytics.
  • Proficiency in SQL, BigQuery, DBT, and BI tools (e.g., Omni BI, Looker, Tableau, or Power BI).
  • Strong understanding of performance management metrics, value-based contracts, and quality analytics.
  • Ability to translate complex data insights into actionable business recommendations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience with Python or R for data analysis and automation.
  • Knowledge of IBNR calculations and actuarial data (a plus but not required).
  • Background in healthtech, insurance, or high-growth startups.
  • Passion for continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
