Summary: 

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for managing key relationships and developing and executing strategies to grow NCD’s business with agents and agency partners. This role requires a strong ability to analyze market trends, assess competition, and build long-term relationships that drive sales growth. The Regional Sales Manager also serves as a key escalation point for complex agent issues, ensuring seamless collaboration between Sales, Enablement, and Agent Support functions. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Agent & Broker Acquisition and Onboarding – Identify and onboard new agencies and brokers interested in selling NCD products. Develop and maintain an efficient outreach system to engage potential agents and ensure they are properly contracted and ready to sell. 
  • Relationship Management & Engagement – Maintain ongoing relationships with established NCD brokers and agents. Ensure agents are informed about new products, services, and sales opportunities through regular check-ins, including phone calls, emails, and in-person visits. 
  • Collaboration with Agent Support & Enablement – Serve as a key escalation point for complex agent issues that Account Executives and Agent Support cannot resolve, ensuring a seamless agent experience. 
  • Strategic Business Growth & Market Analysis – Develop and implement short- and long-term sales strategies to expand business with contracted agents and brokers. Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for growth and set measurable goals.  

Qualifications: 

  • Experience: 
    • 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or account management, preferably in the insurance or healthcare industry. 
    • Experience managing agent and broker relationships, including onboarding, engagement, and retention. 
    • Demonstrated success in achieving sales growth and expanding market presence. 
  • Skills & Competencies: 
    • Strong relationship building and negotiation skills with the ability to influence agents and brokers at various levels. 
    • Ability to analyze market trends, identify competitive threats, and develop strategies to drive business growth. 
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written. 
    • Strong problem solving abilities and ability to manage escalations effectively. 
    • Self-motivated with a proactive, results-driven approach to sales and relationship management. 
    • Proficiency in CRM tools and sales tracking systems. 
  • Education & Certifications: 
    • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field preferred. 
    • Insurance license (Life & Health) preferred or willingness to obtain if required.
  • Other Requirements: 
    • Willingness to travel for in-person meetings and industry events. 
    • Ability to work independently while collaborating with internal teams such as Sales, Enablement, and Agent Support.
