Summary:
We are seeking a Data Engineer to join our analytics team and play a pivotal role in scaling our data infrastructure, optimizing analytics workflows, and driving business success. This position demands a balance of technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for building efficient, scalable solutions to support business-critical operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Build and Maintain Data Pipelines: Design, develop, and optimize ETL/ELT processes to integrate diverse data sources into accessible and reliable datasets.
- Data Infrastructure Management: Develop and manage cloud-based data warehouses, ensuring efficiency, security, and scalability.
- Support Analytics & Insights: Collaborate with analysts and business teams to provide clean, actionable data for reporting and decision-making.
- Process Optimization: Implement tools and workflows to improve data accessibility, accuracy, and quality.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with stakeholders across operations, product, and leadership teams to understand requirements and deliver tailored data solutions.
- Technical Problem Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve complex data issues while identifying opportunities to improve system performance.
Qualifications:
Must-Have Skills and Experience:
- 3–5 years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery) or AWS Redshift.
- Hands-on experience with data pipeline tools (e.g., DBT, Apache Airflow, or similar).
- Strong understanding of database structures, data modeling, and optimization techniques.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive and solution-driven mindset.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience in the insurance or healthcare sector with knowledge of claims or member data.
- Familiarity with BI tools like Looker, Tableau, or Omni BI.
- Knowledge of data governance and compliance best practices.
- A strong desire to learn, grow, and contribute to a collaborative and innovative culture.
